Camp has a new look!

March 19, 2010

New Camp Oak Hill Logo

After months of planning and preparation, Camp is so excited to launch our new website and reveal our new logo! If you haven’t done so already, head on over to www.campoakhill.org and check it out! Take time to click through the different pages and photo galleries and see what’s new.

We’re especially excited about the new logo – we feel it captures the “essence” of what Camp Oak Hill is all about!

The cross reflecting in the water may remind you of an evening campfire at camp, and is symbolic of our calling to reflect Christ in our lives.  And if you find yourself singing “Day is done, gone the sun…” don’t be alarmed – the setting sun and rolling green hill have us singing along as well!

And the tag-line? It’s a summary of our mission statement, which reads:

“To make Christ known by lovingly presenting Him through God’s Word, Godly example, servant leadership, and building relationships in the camp setting.”

You will continue to see our motto, “Building for Character, Not for Fame” as well. As the motto of Oak Hill High School’s first graduating class, and the founding vision of the camp, these familiar words still ring true for our vision today.

Finally, we are so grateful to our friends at Uncle Jake Media for their help and guidance throughout this process, and for getting everything up and running! Their skilled design team has been great to work with, and their professional input and guidance have been invaluable.

Don’t forget, Camp is now on Twitter and Facebook – so be sure to follow us and become a fan! And bookmark our blog and website, so you can check back often for updates!
